“When I first met with Beth Finnerty 30 years ago, I told her that I didn’t want mental illness to be something people whispered about. I had a longtime family friend whose daughter suffered from schizophrenia, and I saw how it totally affected the family. This is what inspired me to support Skyland Trail– so others did not have to go through the same experience.
