Skyland Trail Adds Board Members and Advisors in 2024
Atlanta, GA – Skyland Trail, a nationally recognized nonprofit mental health treatment organization for adults and adolescents, welcomed new individuals to its leadership boards for 2024.
“Skyland Trail is fortunate to benefit from the expertise, wisdom, and perspectives of many volunteer leaders,” says Beth Finnerty, president and CEO. “Mental health affects all of us, and we are grateful for the breadth and depth of support we receive from the community.”
Kit Bowlin, an owner of BERKS Group; Elizabeth Klump, an associate professional counselor with Restorative Counseling; and Andrea Montag, former Founding Director of the Wilbur & Hilda Glenn Institute for Philanthropy & Service Learning at The Westminster Schools, were elected to the Skyland Trail Board of Directors. The Skyland Trail Board of Directors’ responsibilities include confirming the organization remains mission-focused, maintaining its financial health, and ensuring quality care for patients.
Catherine Callaway, advisor to The Humann Family Foundation; Angie Damachi, Associate on the BlackRock Platform Innovation team; John Gould, CEO and Executive Director at The Coca-Cola Bottlers’ Association; Seth Gray, Senior Vice President and Commercial Group Manager – Buckhead of First Horizon; Michelle Horn, Senior Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer at Delta; Addison Lanier, III, Associate Director of Shareholder Activism Defense at EY-Parthenon; Missy McClatchey, President of McClatchey Counseling and Consulting; and Meghan Smithgall, Atlanta Ambassador for Terra.do, were all elected to serve on the Skyland Trail Advisory Board. The Advisory Board provides advice and counsel to senior leadership, staff, and the Board of Directors in addition to establishing connections and involvement with the community.
Abby Echols, community volunteer, and Kristin Carothers, PhD, a psychologist with Peachtree Integrated Psychology and an assistant professor of psychiatry at Morehouse School of Medicine, were elected to the Adolescent Advisory Council. The Adolescent Advisory Council provides input and strategic advice to management and clinical leadership in addition to generating community interest and involvement in teen mental health.
Skyland Trail would like to thank the individuals, whose volunteer terms expired in 2023, for their service and support of the organization. William E. Huger, III; James Howard, Jr.; and Jay D. Mitchell were all nominated to the Skyland Trail Emeritus Board of Directors.
