Philip Monaghan Named Vice President of Human Resources

Atlanta, GA – Skyland Trail welcomed Philip Monaghan, SPHR, GPHR, SHRM-SCP, as vice president of human resources in March 2022. In this newly created role, Monaghan will provide strategic direction and oversight of the human resources department including staff recruitment; onboarding and orientation; talent management and retention; compensation and benefits; diversity, equity and inclusion efforts; and workplace culture initiatives.

Prior to joining Skyland Trail, Monaghan served the American Cancer Society for 13 years, culminating in his role as senior vice president for talent strategy. Monaghan also worked at NTT Data Services for nine years. A native of Michigan, Monaghan earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration, with a concentration in personnel and human resources, from Wayne State University in Detroit. He and his wife, Colleen, have two college-aged children.
