Education & Outreach
Education is an important part of our mission. We are active in the Atlanta community and across the U.S. in providing mental health education to mental health professionals, students, and community members.
Professional Education
For mental health professionals, we offer an annual series of continuing education workshops. The workshops are led by Skyland Trail clinicians and other mental health practitioners in the community.
Community Education
For students and community members, we offer several community events each year including Arts in the Garden and the Dorothy C. Fuqua Lecture Series. We also make our psychiatrists, therapists, and other clinicians available to speak at schools, businesses, and civic meetings.
Groups interested in learning more about recovery-focused psychiatric treatment may request to visit Skyland Trail, engage in a mental health presentation and tour our campus for adult mental health residential treatment.
Family Education
Skyland Trail offers specific programs for families of clients enrolled in treatment. Family programming includes family orientation, family therapy, and a weekly family support and education group.
